Birth Doula

Postpartum Care

Allison Riggs, CD(DONA)

Allison is a certified birth doula through DONA International. She has also been trained under ToLabor. Allison first received the support of a doula in 2010 when she gave birth for the first time. She and her husband then learned the importance and value of a doula. Having a doula supported pregnancy and birth three times now, Allison has soared into motherhood confident and empowered. "Birth has been a launch pad for me, not only into confident mothering, but into confident living. The lessons of pregnancy, birth and postpartum are ones for a lifetime, and to have a guide along the way made all of the difference." Allison believes every woman giving birth deserves compassionate, informative care every step of the way. Outside of her passion-fueled work as a doula, Allison loves to grow food and flowers on their three acres of Earth, sit around a campfire, read historical fiction, drink coffee in the mornings with her husband, experience live music, and instill wonder and thrill into her children through the outdoors.

Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator

Hannah Sapp

Hannah has always had a desire to help women through service. After having her own baby, she saw the immense value of having a doula. She experienced the benefits of continuous support from another woman who knows the ins and outs of birth. It’s her passion that women (and their partners) have the best possible birth experience and have a springboard to set them up to success for parenting and expanding their families. Hannah holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is certifying as a birth doula with DONA International. She is also a Lamaze trained childbirth educator.

Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula,

Placenta Encapsulation Specialist

Ally Starr, PES

Ally has always had a desire to help mothers and babies and has worked alongside some incredible women at crisis pregnancy centers throughout Ohio. It wasn't until she had her daughter that her eyes were really opened to the challenges mothers face. "Mothers aren't supported enough. We live in this pro woman culture but when it comes to motherhood we are thought of as weak, and therefor, do not get the support we need. I want to see a change in this nation when it comes to maternal support, and I'm happy to start that here in Licking County." Aside from being a doula, Ally is also a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. She helps mothers have a happier postpartum and combat the baby blues by preparing placentas for consumption through pills using the Traditional Chinese Medicine way. You can learn more about this service on her website. Outside from birth work, Ally can be found enjoying time with her daughter and beloved husband of 10 years.
